Behind the scenes of Facebook group administration. Do architectural ORKS exist?

Dear friends. As you may know, orks are mythical characters, monsters.

Could you imagine they may exist in architecture?

To be honest, I didn't ever imagine monsters could be related to buildings and construction design.

But the interesting and funny story happened in our Facebook group CG to Solve Problems Community. 

For your information: CG to Solve Problems Community is the group where members can discuss computer graphics works and industry and how computer graphics can solve various problems. You are welcome to this community if you wish to share or see something interesting about computer graphics. I, Yevhen Zakharov, am the group admin.

When people request to join the group they should answer one membership question: Please tell us why do you need to be a member of this group? (Please note non-answering this question or meaningless answer can lead to the rejection of your membership).  

Once someone answered (or not answered) the question and sent the join request Facebook group admin can see this request with the answer written.

Yesterday I got the notification about the membership request.

As you can see the answer was "I like architectural orks".

Does it mean architectural orks exist?  

Believe or not, if we could believe in the statement written by this Facebook member then yes :). Moreover, he is trying to find architectural orks in our community and enjoy them. :).  

What really happened?

I think, probably this member misspelled the word "works".  So, he wanted to say "I like architectural works". That's because some of our members post architectural 3D renderings.

And this misspelling made this day funny :).  

Another thing, the intention of this article wasn't to insult this guy. Every person, including me, can make misspellings. And some of them look funny.  Or maybe this member made this misspelling intentionally to make some fun. Anyway, I thank this guy for this :).

Of course, I approved him to be a member of our group. 

I hope this story was fun and interesting. 

Especially if you read it in the COVID-19 quarantine period and it made these hard days a little bit better.

No way, my friends! Behind the scenes of Facebook group administration. Part 2

Facebook group admins can see a lot of weird pending posts.  But today I noticed the following attempt in our Fans of Design and Architecture Community . DOUBLE SPAM :)! Identical texts! Even the punctuation is equal!  Let me tell these guys: no way, my friends!  What did the spammers expect? Maybe they hoped I'll press the "Approve" button? Oh no!  I have no idea? And you?
